TV DOCUMENTARIES
I've composed, played and recorded music for several hundred films. For many years I produced music for travel and wildlife docs that used sampled fragments of sound recorded on location. The best of these are on a Carlin library album: Ethnic Lands/Atmospheres, Carlin 274.
Here are some examples.

Wild India - Channel Four series
Violin by Chris Haigh

Dreams from the forest - BBC Under the Sun

Galahad of Everest - BBC Under the Sun

Scandinavia - BBC The Natural World
Vocal 'Joik' by Ailu Gaup

Under the Weather - BBC Wildlife on One
Pedal Steel by BJ Cole

A Walk in the Darien - BBC The Natural World

My favourite Natural World though, was one about microscopic life.
Beyond the Naked Eye
featured this title sequence - full of electron microscope zooms and time-lapse of decomposing food. The whole thing was played with a MIDI Theremin controlling a Kurzveil K4000.
